Inuit Drum Dance Silhouette in Mersin Hall

Dark silhouettes of dancers move in a tight circle within the high, vaulted space of a prayer hall near Mersin. Twilight light floods the background, turning the figures into sharp, black shapes against the glowing orange and purple sky. The room features arched windows and stone walls typical of the region, against the rhythmic motion of the dancers. Autumn leaves in shades of russet and gold are visible on the ground outside the windows, marking the peak of the season. A heavy wooden frame surrounds the open doorway, creating a secondary border that frames the dancers. The floor reflects the dim interior light, showing the texture of worn stone. at the edge is the dust motes suspended in the backlight, glowing like tiny stars around the moving limbs.
