Orange Fire Dance Arcs on Maturín Stage
Vivid orange arcs of fire trace curved paths across the dark, wet surface of a stage floor, mimicking the motion of a fire dance. The setting is a theater in Maturín, where low sunlight streams through high windows, casting long, sharp shadows that stretch across the performance area. Behind the glowing trails, heavy stage curtains hang in deep folds, partially obscured by a thick layer of atmospheric haze. Coiled cables snake across the floorboards near the edges of the light, adding a raw, backstage texture to the scene. The monsoon season is evident in the damp sheen on the floorboards, reflecting the intense orange glow against the surrounding blackness. at the edge is the way the fire light catches the frayed edge of a curtain rod, turning the metal silver before it fades into shadow.
