Erhu on Stand in Jazz Club Predawn Haze

Warm amber light slices through thick predawn haze, illuminating the polished rosewood curves of an erhu resting on a dark wooden stand. The instrument's two strings gleam under the theatrical spotlight, against the shadowed, textured grain of the stand legs. Behind the fiddle, indistinct shapes of a jazz club interior fade into the gloom, hinting at stools and tables without revealing them. The heavy overcast sky outside casts a muted, gray-blue ambient tone that softens the edges of the stage. Dust particles hang suspended in the light beam, creating a tangible depth around the instrument's scroll. One reflection of the spotlight rim glows on the smooth lacquer of the erhu's body.
