Cracked Cooling Tower Silhouette at Dusk

Deep indigo twilight washes the sky above a decaying hyperbolic cooling tower near Mardin. The structure stands as a jagged black silhouette against the fading blue, its concrete shell fractured and peeling. Metal gantries and utility towers frame the tower, their thin lines converging toward the central ruin. A metallic haze hovers just above the dusty floor, catching the last light in a gray suspension. The ground is littered with rubble and rusted rebar, while the cracked surfaces of the tower reveal layers of weathered gray and brown. Leading lines from the overhead infrastructure draw the eye directly to the broken apex of the shell.
