Damselfly on Reed in Golden Hour Rain

Rich amber light floods the frame as steady monsoon rain falls over a wet reed in Quezon City. A delicate damselfly rests near the top, its translucent wings folded tight against a body slick with water droplets. The reed bends slightly under the weight of the rain, its green surface glistening with individual beads. Below, the muddy ground blurs into soft browns and greens, suggesting a low-angle view from the earth. The insect’s large eyes reflect the dimming sky, creating a sharp focal point against the streaking rain. Water runs down the reed stalk in thin, clear rivulets that catch the fading sun. The final drop rests on the tip of the wing, refracting the amber glow.
