Melting Dragonfly on Reed in Bamenda Rain

Steel-blue ambient light washes over a still pond near Bamenda as city lights flicker to life in the distance. A dragonfly rests on a slender reed, its wings translucent against the gray sky. Rainy season leaves skitter across the water's surface, caught in sudden gusts. The reed itself appears to soften at the base, dripping downward like warm wax into a small pool. The dragonfly's legs grip the melting stalk firmly, creating a stark contrast between the rigid insect and the fluid plant. Dark green leaves frame the edges, their wet surfaces reflecting the fading daylight. The water remains glassy, mirroring the steel-blue hue above. one drop of reed material hangs from the lowest point, suspended before falling.
