Ceilidh Band in Scottish Lantern Hall

Early autumn dusk casts a sodium-vapor orange glow across a symmetrical hall lined with hanging paper lanterns near Leith. Three musicians in dark wool sweaters stand centered on a wooden floor, their instruments poised mid-play. Dramatic clouds press low against the high windows, filtering the last blue light of evening into the room. The lanterns create a rhythmic pattern of warm circles against the cool twilight. Faint condensation beads on the glass panes while dust motes settle in the still air. at the edge is the sharp reflection of the nearest lantern on the polished floorboards beneath the fiddler's boots.
