Scottish Ceilidh Couples Spinning in Grassmarket Twilight

Deep indigo twilight fills Edinburgh's Grassmarket, casting the cobblestones in shadow while a sharp rim light from a streetlamp outlines a group of dancers. Couples in heavy wool coats and scarves spin in a tight circle, their movement creating soft blurs against the dark stone walls. The view sits behind a partner in a thick tweed jacket, looking past their shoulder at the rotating figures. Above, the sky remains a solid, cloudless sheet of dark blue. Heavy winter clothing covers the dancers, and the worn texture of the cobblestones beneath their boots shows signs of decades of foot traffic. The rim light catches the edge of a scarf, defining the curve of a shoulder against the deep shadow.
