Caribou Stag Crossing Mud Flats at Noon

Dry mountain light flattens across the landscape under a noon glare, exposing the rough texture of churned mud flats near Kırıkkale. A caribou stag moves sideways through the mire, its antlers catching the harsh brightness against the pale autumn grasses. Strong winds whip its shaggy coat and bend the surrounding vegetation in a single direction. Deep tracks trail behind the animal, marking the path through the soft earth. The low angle emphasizes the massive hooves pressing into the wet ground, lifting clumps of mud. Sharp shadows fall directly beneath the stag, defining the uneven surface of the terrain and the tension in its forward stride.
