Caribou Stag in Mauritius Grass at Dusk

Steel-blue twilight washes the tall, golden grasses where a caribou stag stands in profile. Fine dust rises in soft swirls around the animal's hooves, catching the dim ambient light. The stag's coat appears dark and textured against the muted field, its ears pinned back in alert tension. Overcast clouds fill the sky above, creating a heavy, flat ceiling that diffuses the fading day. Rain-soaked blades of grass bend under the weight of moisture, their tips gleaming with recent water. The animal's muscles shift subtly beneath the skin, frozen in a moment of stillness before movement. One blade of grass bends sharply against the stag's flank, marking the boundary between the creature and the wild ground.
