Red Deer Stag on Rock Shelf in Azerbaijani Forest
Dappled sunlight falls through overhead leaves, striking the flanks of a red deer stag standing atop a low, gray rock shelf. The animal's coat ranges from deep chestnut to golden tan, textured with patches of dried mud clinging to its dark, sturdy hooves. A thin layer of white fog hovers just above the forest floor, softening the background vegetation while leaving the stag's alert posture sharply defined. Its ears are pricked forward, and its dark eye reflects the flat glare of noon breaking through the canopy. The rock surface beneath the stag is rough and uneven, against the smooth fur of its neck. Moss grows in small, damp patches along the rock's edge where the ground meets the stone. The stag's muscles remain tense, poised against the quiet, misty air.
