Flat noon light reflects off the swollen river surface below a heavy crane barge. Massive steel bridge sections hang suspended from the crane's boom, positioned precisely for installation. The sky above remains a solid sheet of heavy gray clouds, diffusing the glare into a uniform silver wash. Water churns around the barge's hull, disturbed by the wind sweeping across the ridge. The steel girders appear cold and industrial against the churning brown water. Ripples spread outward from the vessel's movement, distorting the reflection of the overcast sky. A rust-colored bolt head glints on the side of the lifted bridge segment.
