Bioluminescent Waves Crash on Brittany Headland in under a band of cold starlight in Brittany

Bioluminescent Waves Crash on Brittany Headland

by Terri Washington

Cold starlight slices through the darkness over a rugged granite headland in Brittany. Turbulent ocean water glows with electric blue bioluminescence as it crashes against the black rocks. The foam on the wave crests pulses with a faint, ghostly green light, contrasting sharply with the deep indigo of the sea. Above, a clear band of stars hangs low, illuminating the wet stone surfaces. The air remains still after a storm, leaving the water churning with suspended light. Tiny droplets hanging from the jagged rock edges catch the starlight, appearing as scattered diamonds against the dark mineral texture.
