Basalt Columns and Ghost Train in Chilean Mist

Cool gray basalt columns rise vertically from the rugged Chilean coast, their hexagonal faces wet with early winter mist. Thick, dramatic clouds press low against the horizon where the sky bleeds into a pale, diffused dawn light. An impossible passenger train car sits embedded within the rock formation, its red paint dull against the stone, windows reflecting the overcast sky. The ground is slick with salt spray and scattered with dark pebbles. One rusted rail track extends from the train car, curving over the uneven cliff edge before vanishing into the fog. The metal surface of the carriage shows pitting and age, against the smooth, water-worn stone surrounding it.
