Soft, diffused light from a late spring sky after rain illuminates a tidal survey transect in Gliwice. An astronomer stands beside a large telescope, hands adjusting dials on a metal housing. The wet pavement reflects the flat glare of noon, creating a muted sheen on the ground. Indicator lights on the equipment glow steadily, casting small red and green reflections onto the polished surfaces. The shallow depth of field blurs the distant trees, keeping focus sharp on the precise movements of the operator's fingers against the cool, damp metal. One droplet of water rests on the edge of the lens hood, hanging motionless in the still air.
