Astronomer Aligns Telescope on Karnataka Outcrop
Steel-blue ambient light washes over a rocky geology outcrop in Karnataka during the dry season. An astronomer stands centered in perfect symmetry, adjusting the finder scope of a large telescope mounted on a tripod. Dramatic clouds stretch across the darkening sky, their edges sharp against the fading twilight. The observer wears practical field clothing, hands steady on the metallic instrument. Rough, weathered stones surround the base of the tripod, their gray and ochre surfaces catching the last cool light.
