Wooden Pier Extending Into Mist Near Fortress

Cool blue twilight washes the weathered planks of a wooden pier stretching toward a horizon swallowed by low-hanging clouds. The structure rises from the edge of a wind-scoured landscape, its timber grain rough and gray from salt exposure. Behind it, a massive fortress wall stands dark and imposing, its stone surface textured by years of coastal erosion. Mist rests on the water below, blurring the boundary between the pier and the sea. The light is flat and diffuse, eliminating sharp shadows while highlighting the damp sheen on the wood. One metal railing runs along the side, its paint peeling slightly at the joints. The perspective pulls attention straight down the length of the walkway toward the indistinct, foggy void where the water disappears.
