Winter Wind Turbines Over Coasting Hills

Gray water ripples across the surface of a vast ocean, meeting a shoreline of pale, wet sand. White-capped waves break in rhythmic lines against the coast near Anyang. Three massive white wind turbines stand on the rolling hills above, their blades stationary against a heavy, overcast sky. Patches of green grass on the slopes appear dull and dormant under the flat noon light. Rain falls in thin, diagonal sheets, creating a misty veil between the turbines and the sea. The concrete bases of the towers anchor firmly into the damp earth, while the distant horizon blurs into a uniform gray. A dark shadow stretches from the nearest turbine onto the wet hillside.
