Windsurfer Launching Off Choppy Wave in Monsoon Afternoon

Tropical bright light floods a mountain path near Daura where a windsurfer launches off a choppy wave under force-six winds. Low-hanging monsoon clouds press against the sky, casting diffuse shadows across the water. The athlete leans back, harness pulling taut against the boom, while the sail catches the gust. Water sprays upward in jagged arcs from the board's edge, freezing in the afternoon sun. Ripples radiate outward from the impact point, distorting the reflection of the overcast sky. The board cuts through the whitecaps, leaving a frothy trail that contrasts with the darker, churning water. A wet droplet rests on the edge of the sail, catching the light before falling back into the spray.
