White Sailboat Silhouette on Auckland Sea

Deep blue water stretches beneath a white sailboat captured in stark silhouette against the fading light. The vessel sits low on a wind-open causeway near Ponsonby, its dark hull contrasting sharply with the bright horizon where the sun dips below. Late autumn air hangs heavy with sea haze, softening the distant skyline into a muted gray band. The mast stands tall and thin, blocking the last rays of orange light that spill across the rippling surface. Behind the boat, the water reflects the dimming sky in streaks of indigo and charcoal. One spar cuts a sharp black line against the glowing sky, anchoring the composition at eye level.
