Sailing Yacht Enters Afghan Anchorage

Bright tropical sunlight floods a vast, arid valley floor where a sudden expanse of water has formed, holding a sleek sailing yacht. The vessel cuts through calm, deep blue ripples, its white sails catching the intense late morning light against a backdrop of towering, snow-capped peaks. Dramatic, heavy clouds stack high above the mountains, casting long, shifting shadows across the dry, ochre slopes that rise steeply on either side of the water. The yacht's hull reflects the sky, while wooden railings gleam under the harsh sun. A rope stretches taut from the bow toward the unseen shore, anchoring the impossible vessel in this dry, autumnal landscape where the water meets the dusty earth.
