Twilight Seahorse Resting on Wreck Beam

Dusky blue light falls through the water, illuminating a small seahorse clinging to a rusted metal beam. The wreck structure emerges from a volcanic drop-off near Karangahape Road in Auckland, its surface rough and encrusted with marine growth. Plankton haze softens the background, creating a suspended, dreamlike calm. The seahorse displays a lantern-like coloration, glowing faintly against the darkening water. Winter chill is evident in the stillness of the scene, with no movement disturbing the particles floating in the current. The beam extends into the distance, its edges blurring into the deep blue void. One particle of plankton drifts past the seahorse's tail, catching the last rays of twilight.
