The maintenance platform casts hard, angular shadows across its own floor, intersecting with the upward motion of the water droplets. Heavy overcast skies press down with a flat gray tone, contrasting the warm glow hitting the metal. Water ripples on the river surface reflect the impossible ascent, while rust textures on the bridge beams emphasize the civic scale. One droplet hangs suspended near the railing, catching the golden hour light before continuing its upward journey.
