Night Drizzle on Hoist Chain Above Black Reservoir Water

Steel cables of a reservoir intake hoist descend vertically from the shadows of massive transmission towers, their links glistening with fresh raindrops that streak down into the void. Below, the reservoir surface is a sheet of absolute black, absorbing the harsh glow of nearby maintenance floodlights. Small warning beacons cast thin red beams across the wet metal, highlighting the texture of rust and oil on the chain links. The air is thick with a fine mist from the early summer drizzle, blurring the edges of the concrete supports. Water beads form and slide off the cold steel, creating a rhythmic visual pattern against the dark, still water. at the edge is a single drop breaking the surface tension of the black pool.
