Telecom Mast Platform Over Clouds at Swayambhu Lock

Deep indigo twilight settles over the canal lock chamber in Swayambhu, Kathmandu, where a steel telecommunication mast platform rises sharply against a sky heavy with spilling clouds. The structure stands in deep shadow, its edges defined by a thin, bright rim light that separates the metal from the darkening air. Heat shimmer lifts from the sun-struck stone surfaces nearby, creating a wavering distortion that blurs the texture of the ancient masonry. Leading lines formed by the lock walls guide the eye upward toward the industrial grid of the platform. The metal lattice appears cold and rigid against the soft, rolling mass of the clouds below. One rivet on the lower beam catches the last faint glow, marking the boundary between the solid engineering and the misty void.
