Symmetrical Canal Lock Pond Under Windy Afternoon Sky

Clear dry mountain light illuminates a rectangular canal lock side pond, its surface mirroring a dramatic cloud formation above. Stone walls rise vertically on both sides, creating a perfect symmetrical frame that shelters the water from the wind. The concrete embankment at the far end shows signs of weathering, against the smooth, dark water. Above, the sky is a canvas of heavy grey and white cumulus clouds, their undersides shadowed while their edges catch the late afternoon sun. The overpass interchange looms in the background, its concrete ramps curving sharply against the horizon. One metal railing runs along the top of the stone wall, casting a thin, sharp shadow onto the masonry. The water remains glassy, reflecting the rigid geometry of the walls and the turbulent sky with absolute clarity.
