Monsoon Fog Rolls Through Puebla Suspension Bridge Towers

by Brad Kline

Soft overcast light washes the steel cables and concrete pylons of a suspension bridge near Puebla. Thick ground fog pools in the valley below, rising to swallow the lower sections of the towers while leaving the upper trusses visible. The diagonal lines of the suspension cables cut sharply across the frame, creating visual tension against the horizontal layers of mist. Wet concrete surfaces reflect the pale morning sky, while the steel retains a cool, dark gray tone. Sparse green vegetation rests on the rocky embankments on either side, hinting at the recent monsoon rains. The fog obscures the road deck, leaving only the structural skeleton of the bridge emerging from the white void.
