Steel Blue Shelf Cloud Over Autumn Az Zubayr

A massive shelf cloud rolls forward like a solid wall of gray steel across the flat horizon of Az Zubayr. The sky above stacks heavy thunderheads in deep charcoal, while the land below shimmers with a visible heat haze that blurs the ground line. Twilight casts a uniform steel-blue ambient light over the entire landscape, flattening shadows and creating a bold contrast between the dark, advancing storm front and the pale, shimmering air. Dry autumn grasses lie low against the earth, their brown tones muted under the gloom. The cloud base hangs low, appearing dense and textured with vertical striations, while the horizon remains a sharp, straight line against the rising atmospheric pressure.
