Sufi Zikr Ceremony Silhouette at Sunset

Deep orange sunset light floods the horizon behind a group of musicians and chanters performing on a raised festival stage in Binh Thanh. The performers appear as dark, sharp silhouettes against the bright sky, their robes and instruments defined only by their outlines. Low-hanging clouds drift just above the stage roofline, catching the last rays of the day. The low angle of the shot emphasizes the height of the figures, making them tower against the fading light. Several musicians hold stringed instruments aloft while others stand with hands raised in rhythmic motion. The stage edge cuts a straight line across the bottom of the frame, at the base of the ethereal figures in the urban landscape of Ho Chi Minh City.
