Sufi Musicians Silhouetted in Tampa Concert Hall

Sodium-vapor light spills through the arched windows of a Tampa concert hall, washing the stage in warm amber while low-hanging clouds outside turn the sky into deep indigo. A group of musicians and chanters stands on the wooden floor, their bodies reduced to dark silhouettes against the bright, hazy window glow. Heavy drapery frames the stage, and the performers wear layered wool coats visible in the dim interior light. A row of percussion instruments rests on the floorboards beside the chanters, their curved shapes outlined sharply by the backlight. The fabric draped over nearby chairs catches the edge of the amber glow, revealing texture against the shadowed room.
