Sufi Zikr Circle in Al Hudaydah Chapel

Soft daylight falls through heavy curtains, casting diffuse bands of muted color across a circle of worshippers seated on woven rugs inside a chapel in Al Hudaydah. Stained glass windows punctuate the stone walls with deep reds and blues, while the rainy season outside dims the natural light further. Lamplight pools in the corners, illuminating dust motes and the texture of worn fabric on traditional garments. The low angle emphasizes the upward curve of the circle, showing the rhythmic motion of hands and the serene expressions of the participants. Shadows stretch long across the floor, at the base of the scene in quiet devotion.
