Polynesian Fire Dance on Busan Stage at Twilight

Dim stage lighting reflects off a shallow pool of water in front of a performance area in Seomyeon, Busan. Dancers in traditional Polynesian attire move with rhythmic precision, holding torches that cast flickering orange halos against the evening sky. Dramatic, heavy clouds gather above the horizon, their gray undersides catching the last light of late spring. The water surface ripples slightly, distorting the warm fire reflections into elongated streaks of amber and red. Performers stand shoulder to shoulder in a tight formation, their bare feet planted on the dark wooden planks. Shadows stretch long and sharp across the wet floorboards, merging with the cool blue tones of the twilight air. A dancer's outstretched arm holds a burning log, its sparks rising briefly before vanishing into the humid air.
