Warm golden light spills across a frozen expanse of salt flats where a vintage steam locomotive moves forward with its wheels churning through soft snow. Gentle flakes drift through the air, catching the low sun and creating a soft, hazy veil over the tracks. The black iron of the engine contrasts sharply with the white crust beneath, while steam rises in thick, white plumes that blend into the pale sky. In the distance, the fogbound harbor mouth of British Columbia fades into a gray silhouette, its masts and buoys barely visible through the winter mist. A low angle view emphasizes the train's imposing height against the vast, flat horizon, at the base of the scene in the crisp, cold air of a dead winter day.
