Winter Tugboats Silhouetted in BC Harbor at Golden Hour

Deep indigo water fills the harbor while three tugboats thread through a narrow channel, their hulls and masts rendered as stark black silhouettes against the bright horizon. The low sun casts long, golden reflections that stretch across the rippling surface, against the cold, slate-grey sky above. Snow blankets the distant shoreline and rests on the rigging of the vessels, showing the dead of winter. The clear atmosphere allows the light to flare around the dark shapes, creating a crisp boundary between the warm glow and the cool shadows. A thick rope hangs loosely from the nearest bow, ending in a heavy metal hook that rests against the churning white foam.
