Vibrant green fronds of a staghorn fern unfurl from a thick, moss-covered tree trunk near Puebla. Late afternoon light reflects off nearby water, casting a soft, silvery sheen across the wet bark and leaf surfaces. A layer of ground fog pools around the base of the tree, obscuring the forest floor and creating distinct visual planes. The fern's textured, antler-like shapes stand out against the dark, damp moss. Distant layers of vegetation fade into the mist, showing the depth of the monsoon landscape. one drop of water rests on the tip of a lower frond, ready to fall.
