Steam curls upward from street grates, illuminated by the harsh pink and green spill from nearby storefront signs. The single bare bulb hanging above the steps casts a weak, yellow circle on the rusted railing. Rain slicks the concrete ground, reflecting the neon glow in distorted streaks. A blurred chain-link fence occupies the immediate foreground, partially obscuring the view of the stairs and adding depth to the composition. The air remains still, holding the moisture heavy in the dim light.
