Golden light strikes the steel truss of a canal lock footbridge, turning its structure into a sharp black silhouette against the bright sky. Below, the water sits deep and black, absorbing the fading sun. Concrete mooring posts, worn smooth by decades of friction, line the edges where the bridge meets the canal. A fine mist hangs low over the surface, catching the backlight and glowing like suspended dust. Transmission towers rise in the background, their lattice legs framing the scene. The concrete walkway appears cold and hard, against the soft, floating spray. The angle looks down from above, showing the geometric precision of the bridge against the organic spread of the mist. One mooring chain hangs taut against the dark water.
