Silhouetted Barracks Aisle Against Monsoon Mist

Peeling blue and grey paint layers expose weathered wood on the high walls of the Getsemani barracks. Rusted metal lockers line the left side, their doors swinging open to reveal dark, empty interiors. Bent wooden cots stand in a straight row along the aisle. North window light floods the space from the left, casting long, warm shadows across the dusty floorboards. Soft monsoon haze clings near the ground, softening the distant view where the cots fade into the bright, misty exterior. One piece of rusted iron hangs loosely from a ceiling beam, resting against the grain of the dark wood. The edge of a cot frame catches the glow of the afternoon sky.
