Pale gray mist hangs low over a shallow lagoon in the rainy season. A researcher stands knee-deep in clear water, holding a waterproof camera rig with steady hands. Soft, diffused dawn light fills the space, turning the water surface into a sheet of muted blue-gray. Coral heads rise from the sandy bottom around the researcher's legs, their rough textures softened by the fog. Dark green tropical vegetation lines the distant shore, its leaves heavy with moisture. Ripples spread outward from the person's waist, catching the faint glow of the sky. A vibrant orange sponge anchors to a rock beside the researcher's right hand, creating a sharp color edge against the surrounding haze.
