Rusted Portcullis in Vadodara Skylit Passageway
Warm string lights drape across the high arch of a stone passageway in Vadodara, casting soft amber pools on the rough masonry walls. A heavy iron portcullis stands permanently half-raised, its vertical bars covered in deep orange rust that contrasts with the cool grey stone. The metal grille creates a rhythmic pattern of shadows stretching across the floor, while the open upper section reveals a clear, pale sky above. String lights hang in gentle curves, their glow reflecting faintly off the corroded surface of the gate. The stone floor shows signs of wear, smooth and dusty under the dim illumination. Rust flakes rest on the lower bars, marking the passage of time in this quiet, enclosed space. at the edge is a single crack in the stone near the base of the gate where a small green plant has taken root.
