Bhopal Alley Staircase Under Noon Overcast

A weathered concrete staircase rises steeply along a narrow side street in Bhopal, flanked by market stalls draped in faded fabrics. One bare bulb hangs from a frayed wire above the steps, unlit under the flat glare of noon. Soft overcast diffused light washes the scene, eliminating harsh shadows while heat shimmer wavers visibly above the dusty pavement. The cool season air keeps the concrete dry and pale, against the deep orange and indigo hues of nearby textiles. Rust stains streak the metal handrail, and a small puddle reflects the gray sky near the bottom step. The composition places the stairs along the right third, drawing the eye upward toward the shadowed archway above.
