Roll Cloud Over Dawei Coast at Dawn in through low marine fog near Dawei

Roll Cloud Over Dawei Coast at Dawn

by Nicholas Osborne

Deep shadow blankets the coastline while a massive roll cloud stretches horizontally across the sky, its underside rimmed with pale dawn light. Low marine fog rests on the water's edge near Dawei, softening the transition between sea and land. The diagonal sweep of the cloud formation creates visible tension against the dark, wet earth below. Turn-of-season vegetation appears muted and heavy, with damp soil textures reflecting the first faint light. The storm has just cleared, leaving the air still and the surfaces slick with recent rain. A sharp edge of white light cuts along the cloud's lower boundary, separating the heavy gray mass from the darkened shoreline. The wet ground mirrors the faint sky glow in small, scattered patches.
