Steel-blue ambient light washes over a research vessel anchored near Hama during the dry season. An A-frame structure rises prominently at the stern, its metal surfaces reflecting the dimming sky. Light rain falls gently, creating a fine mist that softens the edges of the hull and rigging. The water below mirrors the boat, forming a symmetrical composition where the vessel and its reflection merge into a seamless, ethereal shape. Droplets ripple across the dark surface, distorting the mirrored image slightly. The A-frame casts a faint shadow against the vessel's side, while the wet deck glistens under the fading light. A small flag hangs limp on the stern rail, its colors muted by the evening drizzle.
