The structure, adorned with intricate beadwork and fabric strips, rests on wheels amidst narrow stone corridors. Fine rain droplets rest on the glass panes, blurring the view of the street beyond. Dust motes hang suspended in the yellow light beams, settling on the polished wood of the float's base. The air appears thick with moisture, visible as a faint haze around the lower edges of the hanging banners. Metal brackets gleam dully against the deep blue shadows, while the rough texture of the stone walls absorbs the artificial light. One wet footprint marks the floor near the float's rear wheel, glistening under the overhead lamps.
