High-contrast sunlight slices through the humid air of a rainy season afternoon, illuminating a dancer mid-spin in a stone temple courtyard. The performer grips a long staff tipped with burning torches that cast a fierce, dancing orange glow against the cool grey of the wet masonry. Water droplets rest on the polished metal blades and glisten on the dancer's dark, patterned tunic. Behind the figure, the textured stone walls of the Fort Portal structure rise in deep shadow, while the ground reflects the firelight in scattered, shimmering patches. The flames flicker violently, their heat visibly distorting the air just inches from the spinning metal. One ember trails off the tip of the blade, falling toward the damp pavement.
