Pleiades Over Saudi Desert Observatory Dome
Soft overcast light washes a wind-scoured research platform in late summer Saudi Arabia, where a high desert observatory stands with its dome open. The metal housing gleams under the diffused sky, its surface dotted with small indicator lights that cast faint reflections on the polished casing. Above, the Pleiades cluster hangs clearly in the pale morning sky, appearing as a tight group of bright stars despite the daylight. The dome's interior mechanism rests in shadow, against the bright exterior panels. A weathered railing runs along the edge of the platform, framing the view. The star cluster sits in the upper third of the view, balanced against the heavy industrial structure below. One red LED glows steadily on the side of the telescope mount.
