String lights cast a warm, uneven glow across a workbench inside the observatory control room near the Kasbah in Marrakech. Three clear petri dishes rest on thick, white absorbent pads, their agar surfaces reflecting the soft illumination. Beside them, a digital lab timer displays red numbers, marking the late night hours. Fine dust particles float visibly in the shafts of light, suspended between the glass dishes and the wooden surface. The turn of the seasons brings a stillness to the room, where the methodical arrangement of scientific tools sits ready for the next cycle of observation. A faint shadow from the timer falls sharply across the edge of the nearest absorbent pad.
