Pleiades Stars Over Mongolian Observatory Dome

A cluster of bright stars dominates the deep indigo sky above the open dome of a high desert observatory. The structure sits in silhouette against the last blue light of evening, its metal framework sharp against the fading horizon. Surrounding the building, the arid Mongolian landscape stretches flat and dark, dotted with sparse scrub grass typical of midsummer in this region. A weather balloon tether and launch equipment stand nearby as dark shapes on the ground. The sky remains perfectly clear, offering an unobstructed view of the Pleiades. Shadows from the observatory's open door fall across the dry earth, while the starlight reflects faintly off the smooth metal rim of the dome.
