Pink Turquoise Salt Ponds Malawi Sunset

Wet season light bathes a vast grid of salt evaporation ponds in Malawi with fire-like warmth. Deep pink and bright turquoise water surfaces form vivid patches, segmented by narrow earthen banks that create a geometric mosaic from this high vantage point. Braided river channels wind through the background, their muddy brown paths resting against the saturated colors of the drying salt. A thin layer of fog hovers just above the water, softening the edges of the ponds and diffusing the sunset warmth. A distinct shadow from a low cloud falls across the turquoise section, darkening the water's surface.
