Sharp dry mountain light cuts through layers of low marine fog in Guangdong, revealing a massive cumulonimbus tower rising from the mist. A smooth, white pileus cap cloud rests like a lid atop the turbulent updraft. The dry season air holds the moisture in crisp, defined edges rather than soft haze. Distant mountain ridges fade into gray-blue layers behind the storm structure, creating deep spatial recession. The storm top glows with bright illumination against the darker, shadowed underbellies of the fog banks below. A thin ribbon of vapor trails off the right edge of the pileus cap, marking the precise boundary where the updraft meets the stable air.
